Patterns and Relations in Gila River Chemistry . . . . . .
Looking for information on the Gila River? This site brings together a large dataset of the physical characteristics of the river drawn from a number of public records sources. The patterns of the basic processes are surveyed and inter-related. A single randomly recurring event in the chemistry at a single site serves as a focal point to compare with normal seasonal behavior. The various patterns and terms used come to resonate with one another, creating a comprehensive, coherent, functional picture of the river system.

(The dataset is a result of the hard work and dedication of folks at the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality, the United States Geological Survey, and a number of laboratories in the Phoenix area. The study data analysis, interpretation of theory, and opinions expressed are, however, the author's alone. Reasons for putting this work online are to add to the store of information on the Gila, to 'give back'to those who made it possible, and to obtain critical comments and questions that will help improve it.)
